Malcolm Fiander, President & Owner – I.T.S. Construction
Mac has worked in the Atlantic Canada area for about 32 Years. Prior to the start-up of I.T.S. Construction Incorporated in 1996, Mac worked as a General Manager of SAR Petroleum, a large petroleum contractor based in Dartmouth. Earlier to that, Mac worked as a Design Technician and Partner with the Mechanical Engineering firm of Booth Engineering. Mac is an Engineering Technologist and holds a current tank installers license.

Troy Levangie P. Eng. – Operations Manager
Troy has worked in the construction industry for approximately 9 years. Educated as an Environmental Engineer at the Technical University of Nova Scotia (Dalhousie), Troy has gained valuable experience working in the consulting and earth works industries; including companies like Eisner Contracting, a local civil construction company, and ADI Consultants, a large environmental and design consulting company. Troy is a member of APENS and is on the selection committee for the Nova Scotia Environmental Industry Association for the Domestic Fuel Oil Spill Policy. Troy’s combined knowledge of consulting industry and field experience in construction has provided I.T.S. Construction Incorporated with superior project management skills on all levels.

Brock Tufts - Environmental Projects Manager
Brock has over 37 years experience in the construction industry. As a survey technician, Brock has gained experience in small and large construction projects including roads and bridge construction as well as water and sewer system installation. Brock’s experience in contaminated soil remediation was gained while working for a local excavation company on both residential and commercial environmental projects.

Wendy Fiander – Special Projects
Wendy had worked over 30 years in the Insurance field with a major Insurance Company and broker and held the position of senior commercial underwriter and marketing manager. Wendy’s experience in customer service and risk management is a definite asset to our business.

Janet Arthur – Office and Accounts Manager
Janet is proficient in computers and has a complete understanding of accounting, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software. Janet is able to work on high profile projects with tight deadlines while managing her administration duties and staff. Janet has demonstrated a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage a high volume of information with remarkable accuracy.

Lynn Moore --Safety Coordinator
Lynn has worked in the field of construction safety as coordinator for three construction companies. Her experience gained while working with these organizations has allowed her to develop her skills in safety monitoring. Lynn is trained in the application of the OH&S act and associated regulations. Lynn uses an effective compliance monitoring technique and works hard to insure a safe work environment.

William Jarvis - Senior Foreman
Bill has worked in the petroleum industry for more than 30 years. He is a “Class 1” licensed tank installer and a certified high pressure welder. Bill specializes in the construction and maintenance of Bulk Petroleum Storage tank facilities and terminals such as the local Ultramar Terminal in Eastern Passage and the main Imperial Oil Terminal in Dartmouth. Bill has maintained and built many of the bulk storage plants in the Atlantic region. In addition Bill has removed and installed a large number of both aboveground and underground storage tanks for gas, diesel and furnace fuel.

Dana Swinamer - Senior Foreman
Dana has worked in the petroleum field for over 25 years. Dana is a “Class 1” licensed tank installer and qualified pipe fitter. Dana has extensive experience in welding, excavation, concrete, carpentry and metal works. Dana has removed and installed a large number of both aboveground and underground petroleum storage tanks for gas, diesel and furnace fuel products.

Charles Feltham - Senior Foreman
Charlie has worked in the petroleum industry for over 25 years. He holds a “Class 1” tank installers license in both the Province of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Charlie has extensive experience in the removal and installation of both aboveground and underground petroleum storage tanks for gas, diesel and furnace fuel products, including bulk storage facilities. He is an experienced pipe fitter, welder, and a certified auto mechanic. Charlie’s current focus is the upgrade of tanks, lines and pump islands in the service station sector for the major oil companies.

Dave Heighton – Senior Foreman
Dave has worked in the construction industry for over 17 years. He has gained a wide range of experience, including building construction and general project management while working as a site superintendent for JW Lindsey Enterprises. Dave has spent the last 15 years working in the petroleum industry and has extensive experience in Convenience Store construction, as well as the removal and installation of aboveground and underground petroleum tanks for gas, diesel and furnace fuel products. He holds a “Class 1” tank installers license in both the Province of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Don Schofield – Pipe Fitter
Don has worked in the petroleum industry for over 25 years and has experience in a wide range of skills including electrical construction and is a licensed electrician. Don has experience in pipe fitting, excavation, concrete, asphalt and has worked on a large number of tank removal and installation projects under supervision of a licensed tank installer.
